
Whether you’re looking to work in the adventure activities industry or to enhance your personal enjoyment of the outdoors, this Instructor Training programme is for you. It will provide you with the opportunity to develop your personal skills and leadership abilities in preparation for training and assessment for nationally recognised qualifications in a range of outdoor activities.
Depending on which course you choose (full-time or part-time), you will have the opportunity to gain a range of outdoor nationall qualifications.

The full-time twenty week course will operate from four centres across Cornwall but based mainly at Porthpean in mid Cornwall. A week will be will be spent at the Roseland Centre for the R.Y.A. Powerboat qualifications with two days at Carnyorth Environmental Education Centre looking at sustainability and other opportunities for outdoor learning. The course will also incorporate time at Delaware Centre, near Dartmoor, for a number of the land-based courses.
2 days a week ( Mondays & Tuesdays) for 22 weeks based at Porthpean Outdoor Education Centre, St Austell

In-house training in low ropes, high ropes, archery, climbing wall supervision and problem solving
5 days a week (Monday to Friday) for 21 weeks based initially at Porthpean Outdoor Education Centre but with elements based at other centres in Cornwall.

• Professional leadership and training in each of the activities described
• National Governing Body registration and any associated fees
• Any equipment needed on a daily basis
• Travel to and from any off-site activity locations
For an additional charge we are able provide, or arrange, permanent accommodation for the full 20 weeks of the training period. There will also be opportunities for you to gain experience delivering adventure activities under the supervision of your tutors.
