Course details
Whether you’re looking to work in the adventure activities industry or to enhance your personal enjoyment of the outdoors, this Instructor Training programme is for you. It will provide you with the opportunity to develop your personal skills and leadership abilities in preparation for training and assessment for nationally recognised qualifications in a range of outdoor activities.

Part-time Course - £2500 (non-residential)
The part time Course will be based at Porthpean centre and will be run on Mondays and Tuesdays from the 10th October until 22nd March 2012. The Qualifications you will achieve include

· UKCC level one paddle sport coach

· UKCC three star in open canoe and / or sea kayak

· UKCC foundation safety and rescue

· HSE Approved first aid

· RYA level two powerboat

· MIAS mountain bike leader award

· BOF teaching orienteering level 1 and 2

· Cornwall County Council climbing wall supervisor award
Full-time Course - £5900 (non-residential)
The full time course will also be based at Porthpean centre from monday to friday, week commencing 10th October until week ending 9th March 2012. More intensive than the part time course going full time will offer an opportunity to gain a larger range of more advanced qualifications such as::

Porthpean Outdoor Education Centre strives to provide excellence in everything it does. Our highly motivated and very qualified staff team will deliver a friendly and relaxed atmosphere along with the most up to date coaching methods in order to enable each course participant to achieve the best possible results for themselves.
What we provide
• Professional leadership and training in each of the activities described
• National Governing Body registration and any associated fees
• Any equipment needed on a daily basis
• Travel to and from any off-site activity locationsFor an additional charge we are able provide, or arrange, permanent accommodation for the full 20 weeks of the training period. There will also be opportunities for you to gain experience delivering adventure activities under the supervision of your tutors.
